BA Chemistry to PharmD

The LSU Department of Chemistry has established an education partnership with the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) College of Pharmacy. The collaborative initiative streamlines the pathway from a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Chemistry to a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, opening doors to careers in community and health-system pharmacies, patient-centered practices, and a wide variety of other settings.

How It Works

ULM College of Pharmacy (COP) guarantees interviews during each admission cycle to students in the BA in Chemistry program at LSU who select to apply to the PharmD program and meet the minimum application requirements. The minimum application requirements include:

  • Enroll in the BA Chemistry - Chemistry Concentration (for academic year 2025 - 2026) at LSU;
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA at LSU for all pre-pharmacy courses, see Pre-Pharmacy Curriculum below;
  • Submission of ULM’s COP supplemental application and fees by the date of on-campus interview.
