LSU has named Russell Crook the dean of the E. J. Ourso College of Business, effective July 28, pending approval by the LSU Board of Supervisors. A distinguished scholar and proven leader, Dr. Crook brings over two decades of experience in higher education and business to the role.
The LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business has appointed Dr. Andrew Schwarz, professor in the Stephenson Department of Entrepreneurship & Information Systems, as the first Artificial Intelligence (AI) - Faculty Coordinator.
What began as a whiteboard sketch in LSU's first Large Language Model Development course has evolved into a thriving startup that translates LSU AgCenter research on crop management and weed control into practical tools for agricultural professionals.
